Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Color Wheel

Hello!

Tarte Cosmetics has released some new products for this upcoming holiday season. The Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Color Wheel was the only thing that caught my eye. The color wheel features eight blushes and two highlights. It costs $44 and can be found here.

You'll find much better quality in a single Tarte blush. This palette is simply just okay. I noticed that it was made in China, and my other Tarte products were made in the U.S. (Sounds very suspicious!) It could play a role in why it isn't the best quality.

The blushes and highlighters are mildly pigmented, except for two.  "Deco" is hard to blend and hardly had payoff. I also experienced this with the shade "Culture." The blushes seem dry compared to the soft Tarte blush formula I'm used to. They do wear for 6-7 hours, which is nice. Tarte claims they can last up to 12 hours though. They do tend to kick up some powder. The highlights have just the perfect amount of shimmer in them.

It's travel friendly and has a variety of colors! You get some cool toned powders and some warm toned powders. There is something for everybody. There is shimmery finishes and matte finishes. I did prefer the matte blushes a lot more than the shimmery ones.

Top Half
Idol (Nude Shimmer)
Mod (Peach Coral)
Deco (Poppy Pink)
Surreal (Hot Pink)
Culture (Coral Shimmer)

Bottom Half
Concept (Pink Nude)
Icon (Dusty Rose)
Montage (Pink Mauve)
Ironic (Berry Rose)
Crafty (Pale Pink Shimmer)

Swatches Time!

Idol, Mod, Deco, Surreal, and Culture

Concept, Icon, Montage, Ironic, and Crafty
The pans do seem a bit small, but I don't see myself finishing them anytime soon. They are half the size of a regular Tarte blush. They aren't the best, but they aren't the worst. I think $44 is a fair price to pay for this. You're probably better off purchasing this during Sephora's VIB sale that's coming up in November.

  1. This looks like a pretty palette! I'd be disappointed that it's not as good of quality as their single blushes too, and that it's not made where their other products are. The highlight shade in the second swatch photo looks gorgeous!

    1. It really is a pretty palette, but it could've been better. Hopefully they go back to making them in the U.S.
