Coastal Scents Revealed Smoky Palette

Hi!

My sister is subscribed to Boxy Charm and gifted me a palette she had received. It's Coastal Scents's Revealed Smoky Palette. I use to own one of their large 88 shadow palettes. I think we all did at one point. Have the shadows changed since then?

Let's find out!

This palette retails for $29.95, but I see it's currently on sale for $19.95. It contains twenty eye shadows that are matte, metallic, and shimmer finishes. You get a nice variety in there. It is far better quality than the 88 shadow palette I use to own.

I did experience some fallout with some of the shadows. Shadows I experienced fallout with were #5, #6, #11, and #12. I really wish they had named the shades.

I think this palette is perfect for beginners, or if you want to create a easy smokey eye. They do apply smoothly and were easy to blend. They lasted about 5-6 hours. They lasted just as long as my high end shadows do.

The matte shades were decent, but could've been a tad more pigmented. I had high hopes for #19, but not the best matte blue. The pigmented shadows were mostly the metallic and shimmer shades.

The packaging is slim and great for travel. I enjoy the smoke design on the front of the palette.

The palette is just an okay palette for me. I didn't enjoy the fallout. Shadow wear and pigmentation on some were nice though. I think $20 is a good price point for this. I would not pay $30 for this.

Enjoy the weekend!

  1. I haven't tried any of these revealed palettes. They do have a nice variety of colors! I would be bothers by the fall out too, and I always get sad when some shadows in the palette lack pigmentation!

    1. The variety of colors is a plus. Yes, fallout from eye shadow sucks.

  2. I haven't tried any shadows from Coastal Scents, I have swatched little samples that I got in Birchbox or Ipsy and I was never a fan. Some colors look pretty but others lack in pigmentation. Thanks for the honest review!

    1. Yes, that's terrible when they look nice only to find out they lack in pigmentation.
      You're welcome, Lily!
