January 2016 Favorites

Hello!

It's been awhile since I've done a favorites post. I only really loved a few items this month. I've been on a no buy, so I've been trying to use up old products. Nothing caught my eye much this month.

I paid a trip to the library this month. I used to really love reading, but I never had time for it anymore. I missed that, so I picked up a couple of books to read. I was so happy to find Dulce Candy's book on the library shelves.

The Sweet Life

The Sweet Life by Dulce Candy Ruiz
Dulce was one of the first beauty guru's I discovered on Youtube. I was in awe of her makeup skills and how genuine of a person she was. The Sweet Life left me feeling motivated to really work on my blog this year. Dulce talks about coming to America as a child, joining the army, and starting her Youtube channel. She gives advice on making your own personal brand and building confidence. I love how she shares tips while telling her own stories.

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish
Trust Fund Beauty "Champagne Problems"
This polish is called "Champagne Problems." What a cute name! The polish is a metallic gold foil. It screams party to me. I wish I had discovered it sooner. I could've worn it for New Years. The products are vegan and cruelty free. Champagne Problems is a two coat polish. You can purchase it here.

MAC Ellie Goulding Blush Duo

This blush is called "I'll Hold My Breath." It's from MAC's Ellie Goulding Collection. It has a warm bronzer and pink coral blush. This duo is perfect for when I'm in a rush. They are both pigmented and long lasting. I talked about this product in an earlier post, which you can check out here

What were your favorites this month?

On another note..

  • I found some cute Valentine's Day decorations at Target
  • Currently watching American Horror Story Freak Show
  • The killer clown is creeping me out!
  • I'm also watching Gilmore Girls. I'm really excited for the reboot!
