My Skincare Routine

Hello!

My skin has always been a kind of tricky thing in my life. I remember getting my first pimple in the 4th grade. Ever since then I've spent some time at the dermatologist's. I haven't been in about a year, and feel like my skin is the calmest it's been in awhile. I still get the occasional blemishes, but not as bad.

Morning Routine

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser - I've tried a lot of cleansers, and always found myself either breaking out more or my face was dry as hell. I've tried cleansers that beauty gurus swear by. My skin would just deny them. One day my sister suggested that I try out Cetaphil. I've been hooked ever since. It's really gentle on my skin and is amazing at getting all my makeup off.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum - After washing my face, I'll apply a serum. I reviewed some Drunk Elephant products here. This serum is packed with Vitamin C, essential nutrients, fruit enzymes, and an anti-aging chronopeptide that transforms into Vitamin D. It brightens my skin a bit and provides hydration at the same time.

Sanitas Oil Free Moisturizer  - I apply a moisturizer after the Day Serum. Sanitas moisturizer is oil free and feels light weight on my skin. The moisturizer has Vitamin A and Hyaluronic Acid in it. They both stimulate collagen production and protect against premature aging.

Night Serum & Exfoliants

T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum - I wash my face again at night and afterwards go in with a night serum. The night serum resurfaces and refines the face. It makes my skin smooth and adds a brightness to it. This product also has anti aging benefits.

Peter Lamas Exfoliating Pumpkin Facial Scrub - Some nights I may skip out on the cleanser, and use a scrub instead. This is a gentle scrub that will remove any dead skin cells I may have. I like that it has Aloe Vera and Vitamin E in it. It says it's for all skin types.

Derma E Overnight Peel with Alpha Hydroxy Acids - Once a week I'll use this instead of my serum. It is another product that is for resurfacing the face. This has a blend of sugar cane and fruit acids. I have seen my acne scars lighten a little since I started using this product.

My routine may not work for you, everyone's skin is different. I just wanted to share it in case you were interested in adding something new to your routine.

  1. I would like to try something that will get rid of, or at least lighten my acne scars. They aren't super bad but they annoy me. LOL! My skincare routine is super simple, nothing crazy.

  4. I'm very interested in the Derma E peel. I need to step up my skincare game now that I am in my 30s.

Have you ever tried Palmer's Cocoa Butter in the pot for acne scars? It works wonders on my scars.

  8. Girl, I feel you on having tricky skin! I'm constantly changing my skincare routine and I still haven't found one I like yet, as I always break out no matter what products I try. I just used up my current face wash though and was debating on trying something new so I may pick up this Cetaphil one to try out!

  9. I had the same skin type as you. I went to the skin doctor for the first time when I was around 14 years old and that helped me a lot. Even though she gave me a lot of products I (at that time) felt that I didn´t need, it revolutionized my pimple story.

PS! Sorry for my bad English...I´m swedish. :P
