Too Faced Stardust by Vegas Nay Palette

Hello!

I had some computer problems, so it kept me from posting. I'm glad to be back, and catching up on reading some great blog posts. I wanted to share my view on a palette, before it becomes unavailable. Vegas Nay (Naomi Giannopoulos) has recently partnered with Too Faced Cosmetics

Vegas Nay was one of the first individuals I followed on Instagram. I've always been fascinated by her makeup looks. I knew I had to get my hands on her palette. The palette is called Star Dust by Vegas Nay. It features 12 eye shadows.

I love how it has shimmer, satin, and matte eye shadows. It's nice to have a variety of eye shadow finishes. The palette is pretty light weight, and small compared to my other palettes. It's always a plus in my book to have the names printed underneath.

Chandelier - Ivory satin

Millennial - Peachy brown matte (Gorgeous color for the crease)

Girl's Night - Medium brown matte (Love this one for the outer v. It is a little powdery.)

#Selfie - Pinkish white pearl (I never thought I'd like this color, but it's gorgeous to brighten up the lid area. It had a very silky formula)

Showgirl - metallic copper brown

Jackpot - Dark warm brownish red shimmer

Pink Pearl - Light pink pearl

The Strip - metallic mauve pink (This color screams glamour to me. It's a really eye shadow with a bit of fallout)

Follow Me - Violet purple pearl (Lovely purple for outer crease)

Double Tap - Matte medium burgundy brown ( Double Tap and Girl's Night are colors I typically love for fall. I like adding them to the outer crease. It is a little powdery.)

Golden Nugget - Shimmer golden color

Sin City - Matte black

Pink Pearl, The Strip, Follow Me, Double Tap, Golden Nugget, & Sin City

Included with the palette you get Better Than Sex mascara, Shadow Insurance primer, and a glitter pigment in "nude beam." The primer isn't my go to, but it helps my shadows last. It's sticky formula is great for the shimmer shades and the pigment.

I'm not a big fan of this mascara. I've tried it before, but usually find it clumping and under my eyes after a few hours.

The pigment is a shimmery golden beige. I apply it with a wet brush to add a pop to my inner corner or lid area. I did have some fall out with it, but it wasn't too bad.

You also get six look cards for inspiration. This palette retails for $45 at Ulta.com. It's a natural palette with a little pop of color. I did find the matte shadows a little on the powdery side. I never thought I'd like pink eye shadows, but these were an exception. I'd purchase the palette itself for $45, so I feel like the primer, mascara, and pigment are just nice additions. Well except the mascara in my case.

  3. The swatches are wonderful, though I doubt I'd ever get the palette. At $45 and for someone who hardly ever uses eyeshadow anyway, it wouldn't be worth it, haha Lovely review nonetheless, Lupe!
